Self-storage access control integration

In TheStorageControl one central decision determines whether an access code works. Without a signed contract, outside the rental period or under a security block, there is no access. Financial rules, such as an unpaid first invoice or arrears after a set number of days, only apply when you switch them on. Every access action is logged.

Without one system

Codes that keep working after termination, and no idea who visited which unit and when.

With TheStorageControl

Access that switches on and off with the contract automatically, and a log with every door opening in it.

01 · Access log

Who, which unit, which action, which result

Access events across all facilities with time, customer, unit, action, the user or system behind it and the result, including error messages from the access provider.

02 · Access policy

Rules for contract, period, security and money

The policy blocks access automatically without a signed contract, outside the rental period or under a security block. You switch financial rules on yourself. A temporary exception requires a reason, and that reason goes into the audit log.

03 · Customer portal

Tenants open the gate from the portal

In the customer portal tenants see their unit, access code and open invoices. The portal reads the same access decision as the staff system.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which access control systems are supported?

TheStorageControl connects with Sensorberg and SC Solutions. Which features, such as personal or temporary codes, are available depends on what the provider demonstrably supports. Other systems are handled as an integration project.

When is access blocked automatically?

Always with a missing, unsigned or ended contract, outside the rental period and under a security block. If you switch on the financial policy, also for an unpaid first invoice or arrears after a set number of days or reminders above a minimum amount.

Can staff make an exception?

Yes, a manager can grant a temporary exception with an end date and a mandatory reason. Exceptions and their withdrawal are recorded in the audit log.

Is every access action logged?

Yes. Each event includes the time, customer, unit, action, the user or system behind it and the result.
