Signature ยท Floor plan

Live floor plan: your facility as a live map, not a PDF.

The floor plan in TheStorageControl is a live map of your facility. You import a vector PDF, SVG or scan; the system recognises the unit codes and links every shape to a unit. You then see each unit's status, size and price, switch between map, grid, table and 3D, and reserve straight from the map.

Try it yourself

One map, every domain.

Switch between map, grid and table, colour units by status or price and click a unit. This is how the floor plan works in TheStorageControl, shown here with a fictional demo facility.

01 ยท Import

From drawing to map

You start with the drawing you already have: a vector PDF from the architect (one floor per page), an SVG, or a straight PNG or JPG scan. Vector gives the best result; for a scan the browser reads the codes with text recognition.

The system derives the code pattern from your facility's unit codes, reads walls and codes and compares them with your unit list. The review screen appears straight away.

02 ยท Review

Green, orange, red

Green means matched, with an area that agrees with the database. Orange is matched but needs a look, for example because the area differs. Red is a number without a single unit in the database, such as an office or a misread.

Click a shape to pick a unit, confirm it or ignore it. Drag corners, draw a missing unit as a rectangle or corner by corner, and jump to the next shape that needs review with a single key.

03 ยท Views

Map, grid, table or 3D

After publishing, every view uses the same floor plan. The map shows in colour what is occupied, vacant, overlocked or unavailable. Switch to grid or table to filter and sort, or to 3D to see the facility from above or close up.

The 3D view uses the same unit shapes as the map. Heights and doors are estimates, meant to help you recognise your facility, not as a construction drawing.

04 ยท Renting

Rent straight from the map

Click a vacant unit to see its size, price and status. One click starts a reservation, which then follows the normal flow: signing, payment, access and move-in.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which files can I import?

A vector PDF (one floor per page), an SVG, or a PNG/JPG scan or photo. Vector gives the best result. For scans, a straight, sharp capture with light lines works best.

Do I need a developer to publish a floor plan?

No. Importing, reviewing and publishing happen in the app, with the permission to configure units. No code release is needed.

Can I change things later?

Yes. You open a copy of the published floor plan as a draft and publish again when you are done. The live version stays in place until then.

How accurate is the 3D view?

Unit shapes match the map exactly. Heights and doors are estimates, unless the height is stored on the unit record.

Does it work with several floors?

Yes. You import each floor separately and switch between floors on the map. The system also checks which units are not on any floor yet.
